Relocation and Property Exchange – Michael’s Reno Power Sports and the Former Lumberjack Building

Kelly Bland, Senior Vice President of our retail group, was hired by the owner of the former Lumberjack building located at 10828 South Virginia Street in Reno, to find a buyer or tenant for their building.

The challenge was to find a user that could utilize the over 50,000 square foot building with its 25,000+ square feet of outdoor covered storage on the 5.93 acre lot.

Kelly structured a deal with Michael’s of Reno to exchange their current building at 2315 Market Street for the former Lumberjack building.  This deal gave Michael’s of Reno a larger building with outdoor storage in a fast growing area of town as well as eliminated the time and effort it would have taken to sell their building.

This solution was a benefit to the owner of the Lumberjack building because Kelly found a buyer for their building and replaced it with a newer building that was more centrally located in the Reno/Sparks area.

As an additional benefit, Kelly assisted Michael’s Reno in working with their bank to transfer their SBA loan from the previous location to the new building in order to help complete the transaction.
