I have had the opportunity to hire and entrust the NAI Alliance Office Team of Scott Shanks, Dominic Brunetti and Matt Grimes for multiple assignments in Northern Nevada. These assignments included the leasing and disposition of a 53,000+ square foot office facility in Reno, Nevada in which NAI Alliance successfully sold to a Fortune 1000 gaming corporation, the tax deferred exchange of sale proceeds from the previously mentioned transaction into a 48,000+ square foot flex office building in Sparks, Nevada and the acquisition of a 10,300+ square foot office building for my father in Reno, Nevada.

Due to the current conditions in the residential real estate market, it became necessary to downsize our Reno office. We found ourselves with approximately 14,000 square feet of excess office space that needed to be subleased.
Scott Shanks and Dominic Brunetti with NAI Alliance were retained in August 2007 to help with this requirement. Unfortunately, when the housing cycle slows down, the commercial market is not far behind. Scott and Dominic were very knowledgeable about their market, listened to our expectations and helped us identify where we needed to be priced to attract a tenant for our space. Within a short amount of time we were in negotiations with a quality tenant and we completed a transaction that was equitable to both parties.
